A. Purpose of Space : swimming!
B. Purpose of Lighting: to provide visibility as well as highlight the pool which is the main focus of the space.
C. Luminaire: HID LAMP pendents
D.) Effect of Lighting: There is a great balance between natural and artificial light. The artificial lighting which is the HID LAMP pendents do not take away from the wonderful natural light beaming in through the roof and wall of windows. The mirrors on the opposite wall play with the light which is a huge factor in why this space is so well lit. Little artificial light is actually being used, but the light that is being used is very efficient.
E. Effect of Lighting: This space has little to no color. This only really main source of color is that of the pool. This once again draws our eye to the main focus of the space.
F. Illumination Appropriateness: The illumance of lack there of for this space is appropriate because the space is taking advantage of natural light so it is taking the user back to where one would normally be when swimming in a large body of water, outdoors.
G. I would add lighting in the pool which might be there already but since the image was taken in the day it with full light the lighting can not be seen in the pool.
